It is authoritatively learned that Gandhi will not he released to participate in the negotiations to reach a Hindu-Moslem agreement, though facilities may be given to him to see tlie selected leaders. There has been a considerable agitation to secure Gandhi’s release for this -purpose, but the Government is resolved that there can be no question of releasing any of the Congress leaders till the Congress calls off the civil disobedience campaign.
