ARMAMENTS
THE CONFERENCE OFF,
'(United Press Association -By Electric Telegraph- -Copyright.)
PARIS, October 7
Without awaiting replies from all the invited Powers, Lord Tyrrell (British Minister) has informed M. Herriot that the London Conference has been postponed. M. Herriot intimated that he was desirious that the League of Nations will continue the study of the problem, even if Germany declines to participate in disarmament.
Britain understands that, despite the courteous tone of France’s reply it is tantamount to a negative, and hence the cancellation of thq proposed conference.
