. OBITUARY. (Per Press Association — Copyright.) WELLINGTON, October 5. There died at the Home of Compassion, Island: Bay, Wellington, yesterday, Sister Mary Carmel Gallagher, at the ago of 72 years. Sh e was one of the late Mother Mary Albert’s original companions in her charitable work at Jerusalem on the Wanganui River. She had been at the Wellington Home of Compassion since its opening 25 years ago. WAR.O COAL MINE. WHANp AREI, October .0. McGlachlan,. said a party of fifty had 1 offered Wilson’s Cement Coy. and the owners to work the mine on a co-operative basis. He believed the offer would he accepted. A,- majority of the members of Waro colliery are, registered as unemployed.
