Official .announcements that the strike of Hastings relief workers and i freezing workeid strike have ended were made this, morning. The relief workers struck 3 weeks 1 ago last Tuesday as a protest against the altered terms of No. 5 scheme and the decision to return to work was made at a meeting this morning. . The freezing workers action was a strike insofar as they had not begun work for the season but had decided to decline work when it was offered on Monday last. They have now returned unconditionally. The men 1 were at work this morning and meat is now being loaded on the Tekoa at Napier. . : y ’
