Asked to-day if he had -any comment to make regarding the complaint of the Mayor of Wairoa, in reference to the official message sent out about the recent earthquake, ,Mr Forbes . said that no message - was sent out by the Government for publication. Mr Forbes stated that a message had certainly been sent to representatives of the Government abroad j but that message was not for publication.
