WEDDING BELLS
BUCHANAN—NIGHTINGALE. A very popular wedding, was cele-, bratecl at All Saints’ Church, Hokitika this morning by the Rev. H. J. W. Knights, when Miss Emma Beresford Nightingale, youngest daughter of Mrs and the late Mr C. J. Nightingale of B'rittan Street was united to to Mr Gilbert DalzieJ Buchajmn, son of Mr and Mrr Andrew' Buchanan of Balcluthn, and a members of the staff of the Hokjtika Post and Telegraph Department, The bride, who was given away by her brother Mr C. B. Nightingale, -• wore a pretty brown crepe romaine dress with brown bat and carried a beautiful bouquet of tulips. She was attended by Miss Maureen Taylor as bridesmaid, who rrore a brown crepe satin dress and hat to match and carried a bouquet of tulips, Mr Gordon Buchanan attended his brother as best man. Miss Davies presided at the organ. After the ceremony a large number of guests gathered at the residence of the mother of the bride, Mrs Nightingale receiving hep guests in a black and white costume, A liappy hour was spent, a number of toasts being duly honoured. Subsequently the happy couple left by car en route for the North Island, where the honeymoon will be spent. They carry with them the hearty good wishes of a wide circle of friends for their future happiness. They were the recipients of a large number of valuable presents testifying to the goodwil extended to them for their future.
