N.Z. PERPETUAL FORESTS
Trinity Hall, Greymouth, was packed on Monday evening with an audience of 310 .adults and children, who viewed an interesting film, through the courtesy of Mr R. Smith, agent for N.Z. Perpetual Forests Ltd., showing the plantations, nurseries and operations of the N.Z. Perpetual Forests, Ltd., in the pumice regions of the North Island, and also the huge forests and pulping plants in Canada. The various processes from the planting of the seed t,o the finished article, the newspaper, were followed with interest and enjoyment by the audience, who probably realised what a wonderful asset such an industry would be to young Neve Zealand. At Preston’s tea rooms on Friday evening Mr R. Smith will present the screening at 7.30 p.m. to which a general invitation to all interested is extended. There will be no charge.
