RUGBY FOOTBALL
THE WEST 'COAST UNION. At the weekly meeting of the West Coast Rugby Union held last evening, Mr Prenderville, (manager of-the Wellington team), who was welcomed by the president, mentioned that it was hoped next Easter to send a Club team from Wellington to play matches at Hokitika and Greymouth. It was decided that the Union approach the railway department to-day to ask it to rim a train to Christchurch on Saturday, starting from Hokitika, It was decided that the Greymouth third grade rop-resiemtativ'es play Hokitika at Hokitika on Saturday, Mr W. Delaney to accompany, the team as manager. It was decided that Mr D. R. Dowell one of the selectors, be asked to accompany the West Coast team to Christchurch to-morrow, It was decided that letters of thanks be sent to private car owners, who yesterday provided cars to take the Wellington team on a tour to Hokitika and the Rimu Dredge; also Mr D. Dowell in making arrangements for the visit.
