MYSTERY SURROUNDS DISCOVERY ’

FOXTON, September 26.

Mystery surrounds the discovery of the body of a middle-aged, mediumbuilt man, found in the Manawatu River on Sunday. No qne has been reported missing locally, and although the body is extensively tattooed and has been inspected by a number of people, its identity lias not yet been established. Nothing on the clothing indicated the identity. The body had been in the river a considerable time. An inquest was opened and adjourned.
