U.S. SURPLUS WHEAT

ITS DISTRIBUTION DISCUSSED

(United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.)

WASHINGTpN, September 26. Representatives of the Fedeial Farm Board and of the Reconstruction Finance Corporation, held a, conference with President Hoover and the Secretary of Agriculture, Mr Hyde, at White House tp-day, and discussed plans for the export of the surplus United States farm products. The first project nuclei- consideration was China’s bid for fifteen million bushels of wheat on'credit, the fulfilment of which would require the purchase of some wheat by the Farm Board, as its stocks arc insufficient. Therefore the Board is requesting the Corporation s assistance financially. Tf the Corporation does lend aid, it is believed that it would force .the domestic price of wheat up sharply, and possibly by as much as ton cents n<V bushel.
