HUTCHINSONS LAND, (United 'Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) ' LONDON, September 21. The Lord Talbot has landed the Hutchinsons at Locherriboe. They mGtored to Lairg where they were the centre of a admiring throng of villagers, as they detailed their arctic adventures. Hutchinson denied the flight was a stunt as alleged. The' family had fl° wn a thousand miles in America without trouble.
FLIGHT OVER EVEREST. A BRITISH PROJECT IN VIEW. RUGBY, September 20. The Marquess of Clydesdale has been selected as Chief Pilot of a British expedition which will set out, probably next month, 'to fly over Mt Everest. The aeroplane which will be used is a two seater with -a special engine and oxygen breathing apparatus. Lord Clydesdale will be accompanied only by a photographer. The Air Ministry is'affording every assist" anco as well as the Government of India. The. Maharahoj of Nepal, in whose territory Mt Everest stands has given permission for the flight'.
TWO AEROPLANES COLLIDE.
DAMAGED, BUT LAND SAFELY
MELBOURNE, September 21. Two aeroplanes collided at a height of two thousand feet at Benalla to day. Both were damaged, but they managed to land safely. The occupants of one machine were Flying Officer Owen and a photographer. The occupant of the other was on the last stage of her flight round Australia. Her plane wing was ripped. Owen’s machine had its rudder smashed. The incident occurred while the aeroplanes were manoeuvring into position in order that a photograph might be taken of Mrs Bonney in flight.
