N.Z. AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP. (Per Press Association — Copyright.) DUNEDIN, September 19. In the first day’s play of the New Zealand Amateur Billiards Championship, A. Lindsay (Dunedin) beat N. Mitchell (Balclutha) by 666 to 297, the game taking two hours 35 minutes. Included in Lindsay’s score were breaks of 36, 33, 44 and 46. ' A.' Bowie (Dunedin) beat L. Beal (Dunedin) by 666 to 345. Bowie made a break of 98, mostly in off the red, and others of 55, 46, and 39. Beal’s score included a 31 break. The game occupied two hours 16 minutes.
