It is not expected that it will fall further, but that the •river will begin, to rise again to-morrow morning now ,that the full flow is finding its. way back into the river bed below the power works. Plans are being prepared for the construction of an inland coffer dam by means of which it is intended to examine tlie floor of the. headrace at Arapuni. in case there ' are any other fractures.
