STATUE BEHEADED
VANDALISM ON THE MILLBROOK RESERVE.
CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. 16.
Vandals -of the worst type a lewdays ago beheaded a- statue of a classical figure standing in the Millbrook Reserve, Fehdalton. The statue, the giit of Mr P. S. Nicholls, was set up by. the miniature lake in the reserve early this year. M>' Nicholls suggested to tlie Beautifying Association that the statue should .he set up in the reserve. And Mr R. B. Owen, a member of the Association, arranged for the work to be done.
