The GrthodOx Hindus, as expected, are making desperate efforts to save him from suicide, and Hand it Malaviya, a prominent Hindu leader, has appealed to his community and to the depressed classes to meet at Do’-hi during the week-end and endeavour to reach an agreement on the depressed classes’ electorates issue. Although Mandit Malaviya’s suggestion -is generally welcomed, the leaders of the principal sections of the depressed classes are not enthusiastic about having a conference, and they demand to know Gandhi’s -alternative proposals for their future representation.
