In the second spell Waikato tui-neu defence into attack. At half-time the scores were: King Country 15, Waikato'9, the game) ending in the defeat of WaiItatp by 23 to 18. For King Country, Morgan, Gilbert, and" Tilley (2) scored tries, all being converted by McLeod, who, also kicked a penalty goal. For Waikato Jackson, Denz, Storey, Aiken and Sedley scored tri.es, none being converted.
