COUNTERFEIT COINS
YOUNG CHINESE CHARGED. ATTEMPTING TO PASS 10,000. (Australian Press A ssociation.) SYDNEY, September 13. At the Police Court to-day four i Chinese were committed for trial for conspiring to utter counterfeit coins on August 11, one young Chinese was arrested after passing a coin at a Bank. The four accused ate all young men. They were immaculately dressed. . Bail at three hundred pounds each was granted. / h The Crown case was that they sought to utter ten thousand shillings bearing the date, 1928, all of which coins were deficient in their silver content. . The coins are regarded as being the best.imitation of recent years. They allegedly have been brought systematically from Hong Kong.
