SURVEY IN BAY OF PLENTY

AUCKLAND, September 12,

A survey of the oil prospecting areas in the east coast district is to be made in the near future by a par*-v of geologists and engineers who have arrived at Auckland by tli® Marina. This survey is being carried out as the result of an agreement recently made between the Taranaki (N.Z.) Oilfields and the Vacuum Oil Coy Pty. Ltd.

The party is headed by Dr E. Jablonski, one of the expert grulogists employed by the Vacuum Oil Coy. He is accompanied by Mr C. St, J. Bremnor and Mr M. Steineeke, and on their arriv'd a\ Auckland they were joined by Mr C. N. Taylor, representing the Taranaki'Coy.- The party will leave for Gisborne this week.
