CHRISTCHURCH, September 13,
A valuable draught stallion, th 6 property °f Mr Harry Peach, of Methven, was burned -to dpath when the stable in which it was housed was destroyed by 'fir© about i 3 a.m. on Saturday. Th e stable, with the granary and looseboxes attached, was well alight when the fire was discovered, and in the absence of an adequate water supply it was impossible to do anything to stop the fire. The contents of the buildings nvere also destroyed. :
