CHINESE BANDITS
CONTACT NOT YET ESTABLISHED. (United Press Association —By Electric* Telegraph—Copyright.) SHANGHAI, September 12. The British Legation denies that Chinese bandits require a quarter of a million dollars as ranson for Mrs Pawley and Corkran, stating that contact with the bandits had not yet been established.
