Am entry of 13 fat wethers and 77 head of cattle were forward for the Sale held in the above yards . yesterday, the , quality being easily the best for many months past. -Buyers! were present from aill marts of the Coast and. competition keen. As a consequjanee prices firmed up considerably and the appreciation in /same ranged from 15s to 20s per head compared with the last sale. . Heavy ox heef made from 21s to 23s 6d per hundred, medium finished ox 22s 6d t0'249. Prime heifer medium weights 23s to 269 6d. Heavy: weights to 23s 6d. Best oow beief to 20s. One or two special .pens to 235, The small entry of -sheep gold! well. ...

Houston and Co. report: —There was a very large and representative attendance of buyers at yesterday’s fixture" at the above sale, when a total of 78 fat .cattle were submitted to competition. Our entrycomprised 27 prime light; to handy '--eight lieifers, for which bidding was; exice.dingJp spirited. Prices, realifeedl were considerably in advance of thosei ruling at Addington. In the 'earlypart of the sale beef was selling at about 25s per hundred, but there w!as a marked rise as the stock progressed, and towards the close there appeared to be an unsatisfied demand, with the result that at this stage, even plainer sorts were bringing fully 28s per hundred. It was the best sale held at these yards for a considerable time, and it is very gratifying indeed to se 6 the Arahura sale coming into prominence again. W© sold as follows;
