AUCKLAND, September 9,

Last night burglars entered the office of Brown Bros, and Geddes a.orgside ,he factory at Newmarkt, and gained entrance to the. strong-room,. stealing a bag containing money. This morning .vhen an employee reached the office he found the two doors open. The office had been ransacked in search of money. A heavy padlock had been broken on the strong-room door, allowing it to be opened. The thieves found a cloth bag which contained money in silver and notes, and took .this away uv ith them. The exact sum is not yet known, but it is believed to b e about £25 or £3O.
