CORRESPONDENCE
A DISCLAIMER
(To the Editor)
Sir—Please allow me space in your columns to make reference to the report of the Ross shooting tragedy, which appeared in your columns of Sept. 9th; stating that the- shooting took place in the town side of the City Hotel,' and not 70 yards from the police station. It was certainly nearer the City Hotel, than! the policesta'tion, but on a different olock or belt of the town. Since reading the reports of the tragedy in the diff® l cut press* there lias been some reference to drinking being a precedent. The actual mention of the town) side of the City Hotel, may convey to your readers and the public in general, mistaken illusions regarding my scruples. I beg to state, Sir, that neither of the three men concerned;, in •the shooting, were patrons of the City Hotel, and Muir especially, was warned off; the premises for some months past. Thanking you for your valuable space. I am. etc.. , M. NOLAN. , Proprietor, City Hotel. Ross, Sept. 9 1932.
