Both parties to the dispute in the manufacturing section of the Lancashire cotton industry have expressed a. willingness to attend a meeting to bn called by the Minister of Labour, with a ■ view to effecting a settlement. The cotton spinners overwhelmingly rejected the manufacturers’ notice of wages reduction and favoured ceasing work.-
