TAURANGA, September 6.

The sixtieth anniversany of the. establishment' of the Bay of, Plenty “Times,” was, celebrated last evening at a social gathering of the staff.. The Mayor, Mr B, C. Robbins, in proposing the toast.'of the papejsf, expressed pleasure that the town possessed such a, progressive, daily paper. The managing editor, Mr W. H. Gifford, replying, referred,to the fact that he had been the proprietor for ond third of the paper’s history and Hoped it would still continue to faithfully record' the history of the town.
