(Received this day at 10.25 a.m.) HOLLYWOOD, (California) -Seipt. 5. Paul Bern, a forty-two year old writer of a motion picture studio executive whose marriage, to Jean Harlow surprised' Hollywood two months ago, was found' shot dead to-day in the couple's secluded c&nyon home in Beverley Hills. Irving Shalberg the production executive of M.C-.M. studios who was catted to Bern's home said Bern had written- a note indicating suicide, saying; '‘Unfortunately this is the only way out. to make good a frightful Wrong I have done' you, and to wipe out my abject humiliation. You understand last night was only a comedy, Paul.”
