GREAT EXCITEMENT.

Twenty-five expeditions., including scientists. from all parts of the world, have assembled here with elaborate equipment, to make observations of the eclipse .of the sun at 3.30 .o’clock on Wednesday afternoon. Although astromoners predominate among the trained,: observers there are also chemists, meteorologists, physicists, and biologists, all prepared to study the phenomenefi from the viewpoint of their own problems, • ■ Besides various instruments trained from the ground, airplanes, autogyros and balloons Will be used to cany the cameima arid other* devices,
Qnq aerial expedition plans to ascend five miles or more for observation, Trie totality-path lies over the iloted summer resort, area of New England, and, -the event having' attracted great popular interest, .the whole countryside is exceptionally crowded with visitors.
