N.Z. TROTTING CUP
TO BE RUN IN ONE RACE.

CHRISTCHURCH, August 30,
The programme committee of the New Zealand M&tropolitan Trotting Club to-day decided upon'the conditions of the Trotting Cup for this year. During the past three years, the race has been run in two heats and a final. This year there will be one race only.
. The stake will be £ISCO, and it is to be distributed as follows: £IOOO to the winner, £250 to the second horse, £l5O to the third horse, and £IOO to tli® fourth horse.
Last year the stake was £3OOO. The race will be open to horses assessed at 4min 26soc or better.
The total stakes for the Club’s spring meeting will be £IO,OOO.
