'Obituary.—Richard Wiebb /Jenkins, aged 79 years. He was educated at Nelson College and was a member of the first Rugby team to play in Zealand. He joined the -staff of'Rhe Bank of 'New Sooth Wales and wits stationed at Nelson for some years when h, 6 was transferred to the v '
Coast. He came -to Blenheim as manager of the bank' in 1890 and retired on superannuation in 1914. Since then lie. has resided at Blenheim. He was one of the originators of the movement which resulted in the erection of the Captain Cook memorial at Ships Cove. For some ' years he was Marlborough secretary of ithe British Foreign BibU Society..
