During the past few days Cabinet has been giving • close attention, to the final report of the National Expenditure Commission, especially in reference to possible savings in the esti•mates. Cabinet sat late last night, and again this morning. When seen, Mr Forbes said they had been engaged in reviewing the in the light of th Commission s report, and the task had been very arduous. He said the report would not be published till the first week of the session.
