The Council has already spent over 1 £37,000 this year. It is unabl 0 to Continue spending at this rate. It is al« most certain that the (position will be reviewed by the Unemployment Board early rthis week. There are several thousand families &vh|o are dependent upbti. the relief work in Wellington. Although there is little 'likelihood qf them being‘left without any help at all, their 'serious position calla for immediate attention.
