The oiip c’.ub medal was played by only a small number' of members of the Hokitika Golf Club, under unpleasant conditions on Saturday afternoon. Under the circumstances some good scores were recorded. The following arc the detailed results, Tomliuson proving the pinner:—Toip’inson ,98—22—76 ; T. HOKITIKA LADIES’ CLUB. i Matches to be played on Wednesday will be for trophies presented by Miss King, for senior players, and by Miss Potts, for the unearned handicap division. The matches will take the form of approaching and putting for both grades over 18 holes and 13 holes for thp respective ’ grades. Players may -start p’.ay at the first, third or sixth tees. The monthly L.G.U. medal match will :bn -played 'next .Saturday. -Nominations will close on Wednesday. The final in the ladies’ championship wiK b e played .Saturday, September 10.
