As ther e lias been no connection by steamer with the Chatham • Islands and New Zeaand, since the Tees made a trip jin April, it has been decided th dispatch Ibhe Government lighthouse -steamer, Matai, to the Is’ands, with,- provisions for the inhabitant', who are running -short. The Matai leaves Wellington at mid-day on Monday for Waiting!. She will return •direct to Wellington.
