The London “Daily Mail's” Roscommon correspondent says: “Donamon Castle and the grounds are to be used as an 1.1t.A. training camp, according to the leader of the raiders, who has refused to make any further statement as to. the purpose of the seizure of the castle. There are no sen-, tries on duty, but the castle approaches are closely watched from upper windows, and strangers are warned off. The raiders arrived in lorries, and cars. Th'ey had apparently travelled a considerable distance. Nobody knows how they are being rationed. The local storekeepers are receiving no orders from thorn for supplies.” The “Daily Mail’s” correspondent continues: “The Adjutant-General of 'the 1.R.A., in a statement, says: “The facts in connection with Donamejn Castle are that a party of volunteeers who are unarmed, have assembled for the purpose of camping in a short period there. Thp castle has not been occupied by force.
