ANNUAL REPORT.
/ The annual -report' 'and statement -<f accounts of the Blackwater. Mines Ltd. states, inter alia; — Accounts.—During the year 43,815 tons were treated; aud gold to thp realised value of £97,956 Tie 9d recovered. Sundry - rents received - amounted to £502 Os Id, making a gross revenue of £98,458 11s lOd.- •U; H ' The .expenditure in New Zealand and London on mining, milling and admin-istrative-and general expenses, aecid«ftfc»and bullion cha*ffiWL mining rents, interest, rates in New Zealand, etc;, amounted to £61,168 13s 4d, leaving s a Valance of £37,289 18s fid. Againstt the above amount, the sumof. £lß6l 19s (M has been written off for. depreciation - of. plant, machinery and buildings, £6942 18s 8d for development (less redemption), and £7OOO has been set aside for income tax. Mining Costa. - The casts of ? recovery at the Blackwater Mine (Reefton), which is regarded a# one’of -the most efficientlycontrolled quartz mines in the Dominion, are shown in the annual report; as follow: —Ore extraction 21/6|.74, ore treatment 4/4.43, general expenses 1/5,57, bulliqn charges 11.07.d —Total 28/3.81 per-ton. ;
