For an offence against a young girl, James Perry, 49, was sentenced by (Justice Ostler -to three years’ hard labour, his Honour describing the crime as a, particularly bad one, seeing the prisoner had induced the girl to make a false charge against an, innocent young man and had put up to the girl to tell the story which the jury, he considered, had rightly regarded as (false.
