George Gilmore, a member of. the Irish Republican army,' whom de Valera recently released from Dublin gaol, was' shot at .Kilrush on Monday in company with J, Ryan, who. was also shot. , Gilmore and Ryan ..were , to-day arrested in the hospital on a .charge .of. conspiracy to murder police during, labour demonstrations at Kilrush. Gilmore and Ryan were -leaders of lithe,mob which fired on the police, who replied with a votyey, the result being that Gilmore and ■ Ryan were, shot in the legs. The rest of the crowd ran away, leaving the leaders to be arrested.
