! Read-Admiral Hyde said that Siam had 4,800 naval officers arid men, Chile 7,660, and Australia 3,100. At the close of the Napaleonic wars Great Britain’s naval complement numbered 150,000, but now’ the naval force of the entire Empire was about 90,000, .
