SILENCER FOR HEAVY GUNS.. (United Press Association—By Electric: Telegraph—Copyright.) \ LONDON, Augusi 14. “The Times’ ” Milan correspondent Isays that an apparatus which, dt is claimed, silences heavy guns, and almost completely conceals the smoke and flash, is reported to have been successfully tested in the presence of Italian naval experts. The inventors are two Neapolitan engineers, formerly artillery officers.
