A well- known settler in'the Kokatahi Valley reports that the present' season is one of the best for stock generally that has been experienced for quite a number of years. The fine weather has enabled the stock to com© through in good order, and both cattle and sheep are in far better order than is generally the case at this time of tine year. The absence of wet and stormy nights of late has enabled the stock to winter well, and there is e ve ry prospect of the coming dairy season proving a record one. The fine weather has proved a boon far lambing, and it is proving very acceptable, the lambs thriving in the absence of wet weather.’ With a change in temperature that can be expected when the present frosts end, there should be a tapid growth Oi grass, which would be very welcome. Altogether tine prospects of the coming; season, in regard to output in t! e dairy section, are of a very favouiable nature. .
