REV. DAVIDSON

SUSPENDED BY The BISHOP. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, August 11. A notice affixed to the door of the Stiffhey Church, gives a fortnight’s notice of the intention of. the Bishop of Norwich, to inhibit the Rev. Mi’ Davidson, (Vicar) until sentence is parsed on him, in consequence of the finding of 'the recent ,Ecclesiastical Court, which investigated charges of immortality against him. The notice states that as Rev. Davidson’s Privy Council appeal cannot be heard before October, a great scandal is likely to arise through Mr Davidson continuing to conduct services while charges of immortality are pending.
