APPOINTMENT. . .(Australian Press Association.) SYDNEY, August 11. Mr H. P. Williams has been appointed from 211 applicants, to the position cf General Manager of the Australian Broadcasting Commission, at. a salary of two thousand pounds a year. Mi” Williams had had a long association witli broadcasting, both aS' manager of Station 2FC, Sydney, and in an executive capacity. He also is a journalist, with an extensive knowledge of rural pm ilems. '
