. The. Free State' Senate sat specially to consider the Dail Eireann’s rejection of its .amendments to the control of the Manufacturers Bill. The Government was defeated by 24 votes to 171 ; on a motion - tq the effect that; the‘Senate’ does not insist on its amendments., The vote means that if the bail, disagrees . with the Senate amendment, the bill will ’automatically be delayed for eighteen months. , .
