EXONERATION OF, MR TULLY. FURTHER WITNESSES CALLED. (Australian Press Association.) SYDNEY. August 11. At' the mechanical hate inquiry Mr J. Tully, former Minister of Lands, denied the statements made by Redniohd''Barry that he (Tully) had in* Wesfed himself ii< tin hare legislation.; "He added that he had never heard 5 any specific licenses discussed by the Lang Cabinet,’, of which he was a member. Whenever tin hares were mentioned by his . comstitu-ents, of Whom Barry was one, lie was always careful, to refer them to the Chief Secretary’s Department, which' dealt with .the matter. . . : .
Mr Horsington, Member of Parliament fof. Broken Hill, denied having advised a former witness, Matthews, to see Swindeu when spoken to about a license for Broken ' Hill.
