A DEADLOCK
COAL DISPUTE CONFERENCE AT WELLINGTON. ' i (Per Press Association — Copyright.), WELLINGTON’, August 12. Inquiries made to-day concerning -the conference at Wellington between the coal miners of the Tvegt Coast and th 9 owners, to discuss the employers’, final proposals in the'present industrial dispute, revealed that the meeting resulted nn a deadlock, and no agreement was reached. ■ ■’ As far as cou’d be the position appeared to be that no statement would.be issued until,after the workers’ delegates had had the . opportunity of reporting to their Unions. The companies represented at the conference were Westport, WestportStocktori, Bimnner, and Grey Talley.
