AUCKLAND, August 9
The police raided a 'Chinesd laundry suspected of being used as a gaming house, and arrested one Chinese and six Europeans. Pakapoo tickets were also seized. None of the airested men were released on bail to-night.
TWO WELLINGTON RAIDS
WELLINGTON, August 9
Two Chinese dwellings in Taranaki Street and Hnining Street, were raided this afternoon h,v the police. A quantity of pakapoo material was seized.
Nine Europeans and five Chinese were arrested. They will appear at court to-morrow.
