The cost of the New Zealand delegation to the Ottawa Conference will be about £4OOO in the opinion of the ' .Minister of Education (the .Hon. R. Masters- M.L.0.). He gave this estimate this morning speaking to a deputation at the East Christchurch School. Mr Si Baird, chaiftnah of the School' Committee in making a claim for a new building, said that the Government could find the money if it wanted to. “They oan find £40,000.0r £50,000 if they want a little trip, or anything lihe that,” he said. When the Minister he, stated that if it' was the Ottawa Conference Mr Baird was referring to lie could get it-out of his mind that it would be .anything like that. Mr -Masters said he was doubtful himself if it would cost even £4OOO. 1
