ARAHURA BTOOK BALRI . improveiTprices, An all round improvement in prices was recorded at the stock fixture held in the above yards yesterday, when all classes of beef and mutton advanced. The total entry comprised 71 cattle, 31 lambs and 97 sheep, oil of wlich were quitted, notwithstanding there were several unadvertised lots sent forward. In the beef pens no big cattle were to hand, but some really excellent runners were offered' and sold well. Sheep were in advance of Addington rates.
Jeffries and Co. sold as follows: For a client 31 m.s. lambs at 7/4, 21 fat ewes at 13/3, 40 do at 13/-. For F. Haddock, 5 cows from £l/lv/6 to £3/10/-. For F. Black, 12 heifers from £4/5/- to £4/17/6. -For H. Meharry, 10 heifer's from £4/15/- to £4/17/6. For a client, 3 steers from £44/10/- to £5 12/6; 8 runners from £4/1/- to £5; 4 heifers at £6; 4 cows from £4/11/6 to £7,/7/6; 5 do from £4/5/- to £5/2/6. Other sales made were dry cows at £2 10/- and £4/7/6; 4 vealers from £3/6/to £4/19/-.
