In -.conducting a chemical experiment on <liis own initiative in the laboratory of the Boys’ High School ..iter school' yesterclay, David Cumberbeach, aged foureen, received injuries to his rightihand through a mixture exploding. /he boy is a member of a Camera Club aftd he was apparently mixing potassium of chlorate ,vitu some oxidisiffile’substance. Cumberberch was* takfrLto the hospital, but it is understood that lie will suffer no permanent-injury.
CHILD KILLED .BY MOTOR, \ pppUN, - July Ch" A named Robert .William Davidson, whose parents reside at otokia, was knocked down by a motor car ■ onyySaturday afternoon.He was admitted to the hospital in Dunedin suffering from t severe head injuries. He died at 0.45 a.m. today.
