GOODE RESIGNS

FQLLOWING ADVERSE REPORT. (Australian Press Association.) (Received this day at 10.25 a.m.) SYDNEY, July 28. Mr .Goode, Chief Transport Commissioner, this afternoon tendered his resignation in writing to the Minister of Transport, Mr Bruxner. His .letter of resignation contained the following passage.—“l feel that the terms of the Royal Commissioner’s repory leaves me no alternative but to resign my office.” * '

Mr Bruxner comments that the report completely vindicates th 6 present Government.

The. former Chief Railway Commissioner, Mr W. J. C'eary, whom Mr. •Lang retired, will be reinstated in. his original position, also iS. Maddocks, Chairman of the Metropolitan Transport Trust. Amending legislation will be passed for this purpose. '
